The peace proclaimed by the angels at Jesus’ birth (Luke 2:8-14) begins with our reconciliation with God and extends to personal peace within and eventually universal harmony. True peace, or "Shalom," means having right relationships and wholeness, not just an absence of conflict. We are encouraged to be peacemakers, silencing anxiety and promoting reconciliation in our noisy world (Colossians 1:19-20).
