Hello TPC Family and Friends,
As we prepare to enter the third year of our ministry, our church family remains committed to our July theme, "Walking Worthy to Higher Ground." This month, God is calling us out of the spiritual lowlands of complacency, fear, and stagnation, inviting us to ascend into the fullness of our calling. Higher ground is not reached by accident—it requires intentional movement, steadfast faith, and a heart fully surrendered to Christ.
Throughout this four-week journey, we will climb the mountain of God together. We begin by embracing the freedom Christ has secured for us, breaking every chain of guilt, legalism, and spiritual bondage that hinders our ascent. From there, we will step boldly by faith into unfamiliar territory, press forward with unwavering focus, and conclude at the summit as we celebrate our Second Church Anniversary under the theme, "Reaching Upward for Favor."
This month's Member Spotlight beautifully reflects that upward journey. Bro. Prince Mkandla's testimony reminds us that following Christ often requires leaving behind what is familiar in order to embrace where God is leading. His search for a Bible-centered, servant-hearted church ultimately led him to Turning Point Church, where he found not only sound biblical teaching but also a spiritual family committed to growing together in God's Word. His story is a powerful reminder that God faithfully guides those who intentionally seek Him and are willing to climb higher in their walk of faith.
As we worship, learn, and serve together this month, may each message, testimony, and ministry opportunity encourage you to keep climbing. The God who calls us to higher ground also supplies the grace, strength, and direction needed for every step of the journey. Let us leave every weight behind, pursue Christ wholeheartedly, and walk confidently toward the greater things He has prepared for His people.

Walking Worthy to Higher Ground
Nkosana Mkandla, commonly referred to as Brother Prince, journey beautifully illustrates this month's sermon focus, "Walking Worthy to Higher Ground." After relocating from Zimbabwe to Botswana and eventually to the United States, he intentionally sought a Bible-centered church where he could continue growing in Christ. His decision to make Turning Point Church (TPC) his spiritual home reflects the courage to leave familiar ground behind and faithfully pursue God's higher calling.
Today, Brother Prince serves as the leader of Men of Purpose, our Men's Ministry. Drawn by TPC's commitment to biblical teaching, servant leadership, and authentic discipleship, he has quickly become a faithful encourager and example of what it means to put faith into action while growing alongside a Christ-centered community.
Beyond church, Prince enjoys soccer, athletics, golf, reading, and lifelong learning. Alongside his wife, Lilian, he continues to invest in both personal growth and the lives of those around him, reflecting a heart devoted to service, leadership, and God's kingdom.
Anchored by Matthew 6:33, Bro. Prince reminds us that the path to higher ground begins by seeking God's kingdom first. His testimony encourages us all to leave every comfort behind, trust God's leading, and keep climbing toward His divine purpose.
Stepping Boldly by Faith
Our church family enters July with our hearts fixed on "Walking Worthy to Higher Ground," embracing the call to "Stepping Boldly by Faith." The upward journey with Christ begins when we trust Him enough to leave behind what is comfortable and familiar. As we climb toward His higher calling, God invites us to move forward with courage, confident that every step of obedience is guided by His wisdom and sustained by His grace.
This truth comes to life through the testimony of Bro. Prince Mkandla. His journey to Turning Point Church was more than a relocation across continents—it was a deliberate pursuit of a Bible-centered community where he and his wife, Lilian, could grow, serve, and flourish in Christ. Rather than settling for convenience, he faithfully followed God's leading, discovering that genuine spiritual growth requires both conviction and the courage to take the next step. Today, his leadership and service continue to strengthen the TPC family and encourage others to pursue God's higher purpose.
Stepping boldly by faith means trusting God even when the path ahead is unfamiliar. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'" Like Bro. Prince, may we confidently follow God's leading, knowing that every faithful step upward brings us closer to His purpose, His promises, and the future He has prepared for us.
