Hello TPC Family and Friends,

As we prepare to enter the autumn season of our ministry, our church family remains committed to our October theme, "Pursuing Eternal Harvest: Growing on Purpose." This month, God is calling us out of passive church attendance and spiritual stagnation, inviting us to cultivate an active, fruitful life in Christ. Eternal harvest is not reached by accident—it requires intentional movement, patient endurance, and a heart fully surrendered to the Vinedresser.

Throughout this four-week journey, we will walk through the fields of God together. We begin by preparing the soil of our hearts to ensure His word takes deep root. From there, we embrace necessary pruning to foster patience, combine our unique spiritual gifts as co-laborers on the field, and conclude by pouring out our overflow beyond our familiar walls to reach a hungry world.

This month's Member Spotlight beautifully reflects that fruitful journey. Trinity Lanaé Asante's testimony reminds us that growing on purpose begins in good soil and flourishes through active service. Her journey from childhood dedication to baptism led her to co-labor in Children's Church and the Banner Ministry, finding a true spiritual family. Her story is a powerful reminder that God faithfully guides those who actively deploy their gifts and are willing to share His love with others.

As we worship, learn, and serve together this month, may each message, testimony, and ministry opportunity encourage you to keep growing. The God who calls us to eternal harvest also supplies the grace, strength, and direction needed for every step of the journey. Let us leave passive participation behind, pursue Christ wholeheartedly, and labor confidently toward the greater yield He has prepared for His people.

Pursuing Eternal Harvest

Trinity Lanaé Asante's journey beautifully illustrates this month's sermon focus, "Pursuing Eternal Harvest: Growing on Purpose." Dedicated as an infant and recently baptized by Pastor Daniel Bangura, she has intentionally rooted her life in Christ and His Word. Her active commitment to Turning Point Church reflects the dedication of moving from passive attendance to cultivating an authentic, active faith within a supportive spiritual family.

Today, Trinity serves as a helper in Children's Church and as a member of the Dance & Banner Ministry under Lady Bangura. Drawn by TPC's focus on authentic community and discipleship, she has become a passionate encourager and example of what it means to step into the field as a co-laborer, mentoring younger children while using her gifts to glorify God.

Beyond church, Trinity excels in 11th grade at Bowie High School, participating in the ASA Modeling Team, CSA, and Debate Team. Balancing her passion for law, graphic arts, basketball, and volleyball, she continues to honor her Ghanaian and Turks and Caicos heritage while shining as a leader in her school and community.

Anchored by 1 Corinthians 10:13, Trinity reminds us that God always provides strength to push through every season. Her testimony encourages us all to cultivate good soil, embrace our unique spiritual gifts, and co-labor together to share God's abundant harvest with the world.

Co-Laboring Reaps Shared Reward

Our church family enters October with our hearts fixed on "Pursuing Eternal Harvest," embracing the call to "Co-Laboring Reaps Shared Reward." The fruitful journey with Christ flourishes when we step out of spectator mode and combine our unique gifts in His field. As we labor together in unity, God invites us to serve with purpose, confident that every act of shared obedience builds up His church and gathers a crop that lasts for eternity.

This truth comes to life through the testimony of Trinity Lanaé Asante. Her journey at Turning Point Church reflects a heart deeply planted from infant dedication to her recent baptism—an intentional choice to let God's Word take deep root. Rather than remaining a spectator, she embraced active service, co-laboring in Children's Church and the Banner Ministry while pouring out care to younger kids. Today, her vibrant leadership and school involvement inspire others to prune away distractions and step into their God-given purpose.

Growing on purpose transforms us when we deploy our unique gifts to bless others together. 1 Corinthians 3:9 reminds us, "For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building." Like Trinity, may we confidently cultivate our lives, knowing that every faithful act of service expands His kingdom, fulfills His promises, and unleashes the abundant harvest He has prepared for us.

Practical Health Tips

Guided by our monthly theme, "Pursuing Eternal Harvest," our focus this month is taking intentional steps toward cultivating good soil, trusting God through seasons of pruning, co-laboring in His field, and extending His overflow beyond our familiar boundaries.

Physical

Physical Health: Nourish your body like good soil by enjoying seasonal harvest fruits, staying hydrated, and keeping active with outdoor walks. Restful sleep and daily healthy habits condition your physical ground, strengthening you to endure and flourish in every season of life.

Emotional

Emotional Health: Trust the Vinedresser during seasons of pruning, allowing Him to clear away anxiety and dead habits. Express your heart through prayer, journaling, art, or music, and surround yourself with a supportive community that encourages patient endurance and peace.

Spiritual

Spiritual Health: Cultivate daily heart habits through scripture, prayer, and devotionals like YouVersion or Our Daily Bread. Join our weekly worship services and Bible studies as we move past passive attendance into an active, abundant life rooted in God's Word.

Social

Social Health: Step into the field as a co-laborer by sharing your unique gifts with others. Offer practical help, share an encouraging word, and pour out Christ’s love beyond familiar walls to nourish a hungry world as one unified body.

Reflection

Co-laboring reaps shared reward when we step out of spectator mode and combine our unique gifts in God's field. It enables us to build a vibrant, unified community, trusting Him as He multiplies our shared efforts at every stage of our journey. 1 Corinthians 3:9 reminds us, "For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building." Like Sis. Trinity, may we confidently serve together, knowing that every faithful act of co-laboring brings us closer to His purpose, His promises, and the abundant harvest He has prepared for us.
